How does a download actually work?
Click Download, pay the £15 via Monzo, then email me your payment reference. I reply personally — not a bot — with a high-resolution, print-ready file, usually within a day.
Is it "signed"? Watermarked?
No watermark, no DRM — I'm not fussed about that. What you do get: every download and print is numbered as part of a running edition per sketch, a simple tally I keep by hand. Yours gets an actual number, not just a filename.
What do I get with a "signed, framed" print?
A high-quality A4 print of the sketch (297 × 210mm — the same shape as the original page, just bigger), hand-signed and numbered by me, mounted in a black frame and ready to hang. Ships within 7 days of payment.
Do you ship framed prints outside the UK?
The £150 covers UK mainland postage. Outside the UK, framed prints get properly expensive to ship and the glass doesn't love a long journey, so email me before you pay and I'll quote you the actual postage for your country — I'd rather do that than guess and short-change one of us. You'll also be on the hook for any import duty or VAT your country charges on the way in, same as any other overseas parcel. If that's more hassle than it's worth, the download works from anywhere, and any local framer can take it from there.
Why don't the colours match real life?
Because they're not meant to. The outline's drawn from what's actually there; the colour is whatever the place felt like at the time, not a reference swatch. Screens vary, watercolour varies more — that's the medium working as intended, not a fault.
Can I cancel or return my order?
Framed prints are physical goods, so you get the standard UK 14-day cooling-off period from the day you order — just email me, no drama. If you cancel after it's shipped, you'll cover return postage and it should come back in the state you received it. Downloads are digital content sent straight to your inbox, so by paying you're agreeing that once it's sent, that 14-day right no longer applies — standard for anything delivered digitally under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Beyond the legal minimum: if a print turns up damaged, or a download's gone wrong somehow, tell me and I'll fix it — reprint, replacement file, or refund, whichever makes sense. I'd rather sort it than argue about it. And on the 7-day turnaround for framed prints — that's a genuine estimate, not a promise carved in stone; if I'm ever going to run late I'll email and tell you rather than leave you wondering. None of this affects your other statutory rights as a UK consumer.
Who owns the copyright?
I do. A download or print is for you to enjoy — hang it, frame it, show it off — not to reproduce, resell, or put on a t-shirt without asking me first.
What happens to my details?
Just what's needed to send your order: your email, and — for framed prints — a delivery address, both sent to me directly by you, by email. Nothing's stored beyond fulfilling the order, nothing's shared or sold. This page sits on stuart-thomas.com, which runs no cookies or tracking — see the site's privacy notice for the general policy.
Can you draw a pub that's not here yet?
Message me. New plates get added whenever a pub, and a pint, sits still long enough.
